paaarty!

me and my staff-friends from www.smalltownfoggia.net are going to have a party on the last days of july again but maybe in a place with a swimming pool and probably i'll play for all night long...i hope so.

tiga will probably release another single from his first-album "sexor" and it will be probably "3 weeks".
i'm also waiting for "move my body" 's release which will have probably two version, one taken from "sexor" limited japanese edition and one taken from erol alkan's bugged out and another version made by kidalex aka boysnoize.
concerning "3 weeks", i've heard an extended rmx on a set made by him and i'd like to share this work with you:

tiga live at club 11, 18.06.2006

one year ago i discovered a tiny and cute woman with a lot of talent both in djing and producing field: i'm talking about magda, another great canadian minimal-heroin. here it is a set of her made at electronic music festival in detroit:

finally i've found some spare-time to send my dj-sets' cd to my radio, so i think i should be ok for a couple of weeks.
well, nothing to say at the moment concerning this day cos i woke up late and my "brunch" was an red-orange-juice.
now i'll have a shower and then i'll go to the internet-point to take some new and fresh stuff from mp3s' world.
tonite i should go to a birthday party but i really don't like the girl who celebrates her 24 years so... fuck off, i'll go to spin my decks!

two posts ago, i talked about arezzowave and how huge could be this festival here in italy.
well, last year soulwax played on it: both concert and dj-set.
soulwax are four guys from belgium who express their sensations and feelings with a pair of guitars and their chiefs, deweale's bros, are great ecletic djs.
they also collaborate to different projects and albums [one of these one is "sexor" by tiga]
i wasn't able to see their concert by the way i really enjoyed their dj-set in collaboration with james murphy from lcd soundsystem [...worst dj-set i ever heard by him] and i was like a flipper-ball! so, here it is one of their sets:

nissan micra do it better.

damn, it was a strange day.
i mean, i'd like to wake up early to revise my last notes on japanese oral exam and then go to the university to finish everything concerning almond-eyes.
unfortunately i didn't heard the ring of my watch so i woke up quite late and i had to have a very quick shower, take my car and go to the university hazarding speed's excess.
unfortunately², exam-room was full of people, warm weather, no air-conditioner and so it was like an hell.
unfortunately³, i had to meet a friend of mine coming from a city near perugia, arezzo, and give two books to him but i really forgot everything: i took my car again and i went to my college to take those fucking books for him.

finally i had my exam: nice job and i hope to listen to a good rank on the next week.

well, how many sonar dj-set!
i've found, for example, the mfa's one.
the mfa stands for "the mother-fucking allstars" and i think no-better name to express their style: douglas & evans's charm is all present in their last production on border community and kompakt and if you listen to their rmx about "magma" by ellen allien, you could understand why i appreciate these guys.

The MFA live at Sonar 2006

that's one of those surprise which let you think about how music is changed in these years: infadels could sound like the usual uk band who try to make music by guitars, beats and some noisy instrument.
by the way, by producing for labels as wall of sound and pias, their sound was improved in quality and now, with their new album "we are not the infadels", they let crowds to enjoy their show.

if you write jeff mills on google, it could happen two different things:
1]you'll have 948432874238432784378 pages about him;
2]google will pull your legs about your stupidity.

mills is probably one of the biggest american djs. acclaimed for his music's relentless pursuit of hardness and his stripped-down, almost industrial-noisy dj-sets, mills took an international reputation for his great love for techno-music.

Jeff Mills live at Sonar 2006

puff, it's all i think.
oh no, i forgot to tell you that my friend lovig is alive! incredible!
he called me yesterday when i was coming back to perugia from my garage cos i didn't find my consolle, stealed by lovig for a wedding party..
by the way, i'm happy he's in good-condition.

watashi no namae wa mikeere desu.

i can't really understand how italy is so hot in these days: i used to have a shower every morning to feel myself cleaner but now i've to add more showers due to this suffocating hot weather.
by the way, i must sleep cos tomorrow i'll have my oral exam about japanese language and i have to confirm my 28/30 [or to improve, who knows?].

before sleeping, i'd like to talk about a festival here in italy.

it's binding to have so much and huge festivals in europe in this period but i really don't know why, here in my country, there are so few festivals and not so "full of guests".
i think the best ones are naples festival and arezzowave festival and i'd like to talk about the second one, for two reasons:

1]it's my third year enjoying it, always so much fun;
2]great organization and a lot of friends will come in arezzo to enjoy the festival with me.

that's the program of arezzowave 2006:

i know, it's not "i love techno" or "pukkelpop" but i think i'll really have a great time with this artists.

concerning, again, european festival, last mounth there was "sonar festival" on barcelona, different djs played on it and in particular i was impressed by isolée aka raiko müller who afforces his minimalistic sound full of oniric themes. enjoy the dj-set and please, if you can, buy his last album "western store". you'll be able to admire his cleverness:

isolée live at sonar 2006, 06.18.2006

yawn, ok, good nite.

busy day for stupid guy.

yesterday night i made a post-it to remember several things to do on this morning and i sticked it on the mirror of my bathroom. when i was waked up, i had a shower and then i began to do all things listed on my post-it.
so i went to library to buy some books cos i've to do several exams on the next months and then i called, again, my car-franchisee to take an appointment discussing about my car's problems.

today italy won against australia [nazi-kangaroos fuck off!] and i was quite ashamed about the quality of italy's player. by the way thanks again australia: if we go on, it's a gift of yours!

about gifts, what could i say? ah, yeah.in particular, yeah yeah yeahs.
ok, this joke let you think about how stupid i am.
by the way, i remember when i was younger, i listen to a nice track called "rich" which drove me crazy, really i'm not kidding! i wanna rmx it, it could be great!
yeah yeah yeahs are three guys coming from england: karen o, the singer, looks like a mix between the aggressiveness of iggy pop and the charm of emiliana torrini: by the way, her voice sounds totally different from both iggy's and emilana's style and it is not a fairy intuition if you undestand how deep and perfect is their sound. check out their new album, "show your bones" .
so here it is one of their live made at the kool hous and where they performed their new songs from "show your bones":

yeah yeah yeahs live at the kool haus, 2006

just because i love you, here it is the tracklist:

01- gold lion
02- honey bear
03- black tongue
04- fancy
05- phenomena
06- mysteries
07- cheated hearts
08- dudley
09- the sweets
10- y control
11- miles away
12- turn into
13- maps
14- warrior
15- tick
16- art star
17- modern romance
18- date with the night

mh, that's all?argh, i think not.
it's not a secret that i really love tiga since his first productions: sunglasses at night, rmx for cabaret voltaire, fpu's rmx and so on.
in april, he was the guest of "the essential mix", an uk radio-show on radiobbc1 and where tiga played two hours of great music.
nothing to add: if you don't like tiga's style, maybe you've never liked music [i'm joking guys: as latins says: "de gustibus"]

tiga on radiobbc1, essential mix, 09.04.2006

hey, i forget to tell you my japanese vote: 28/30! i'm so cool!

d-d-don't break me do-o-o-wn.

i really don't know how i could go on with this type of life: sweaty, lazy and unable to feel something for a girl.
i've tried to go to my garage and play with my turntables [really useful, for me, if i wanna entertain myself], according to foget everything come from negative thoughts but it's all useless.

by the way, surfing on the net, i've found two great set.

the first one comes from a party in rotterdam, organized by soundmentalism, and alex under played on it.
so, i really don't know very much about him: he's spanish, quite young and with a great passion for techno.
i bought one of his releases one year ago, called "las bicicletas son para el verano" on trapez: what could i say? it was an impressive tune and it's amazing, for a guy who loved electro-style, to express his pro-feeling for a minimal-oriented track.
then i've listened to his last track, "el encuentro", and i was not so impressed as i was one year ago but i'm pretty sure that it'll be the sound of the future [ehm, not pretty sure but my friend pando said so].
so, here it is:

alex under at soundamentalism, rotterdam 17-06-2006

second dj-set is coming from, absolutely, one of my favourite artists: i'm talking about ellen allien.
she's a great woman, bpitch control's chief, a lot of collaborations with different djs & producers and several albums produced on her own label.
currently she's on tour to present her last album in collaboration with apparat, another huge artist.
i love her style since "berlinette", i've forced this love with "thrills" and now i'm sure she will marry me after my wedding propose in september, when she'll have different gigs here in italy [florence, milan and rome, i think]. so, here it is her "masterpiece" on the decks:

have you got a fan, please?

i was quite bored, sitting on my chair and moving my fingers in a slow-motion mode and i was thinking about tidying up my mp3s' archive, in particular everyting concerning albums.
so, i started doing it while it was so hot here in italy and my ventilator had some problems: no idea how to solve this question cos there're no papers, no books, nothing to use as a fan.
therefore i had the brilliant idea to have a shower but i forgot to take off my shorts. after ten minutes, i was so fresh and cool and i continued to organize my new "library".

oh i think it's so cool and i hope to not have the same idea for the other releases on vinyls cos i could really do it.

by the way, i tried to combact against hot weather by going on my garage and spinning on my own decks but, incredible, it was so warm downstairs, too.
i should probably take a popsicle.
mh yes, i have to take it.
